Spores (what I call these orb sculptures)
I’ve got a bunch of individual spores, including a bunch of mid-sized ones that can be suspended from the ceiling.
There’s also larger individual ones that are too heavy to suspend
I also have more complicated suspended pieces made from small components that can either hang in space, or hang in low-relief off the wall
This piece about 36-40” in diameter.
Convergence
This installation was originally made for an exhibition at UNE. It has flexible construction/design which allows me to reimagine in various new forms. I find this process of repurposing installations particularly interesting.
“Convergence” at UNE
“Convergence (droplet phase)” - I’ve shown this piece in this form twice in recent years. Once at SVA in NYC and once at UMaine Orono.
“Convergence (parabolic phase)” - Requires 8 attachment points to the ceiling.
“Convergence (comb jelly phase)” -This orientation would only require a single attachment point to hang. Could be a good option for a show about the marine ecosystem
“Convergence (polypod phase)” - it’s also possible to install this piece on the floor, or draped over a pedestal.
Ascending Order
this piece is at least 9’ tall (exact dims tbd)
it’s made of packing peanuts and is super light
